| Fabrene fabrics offer extremely high tensile strength in
both directions in relation to its light weight. Resistant to tearing
and to weather extremes, including ultraviolet sunlight exposure;
moisture-proof; and impervious to rot, mildew and most chemicals,
Fabrene woven polyethylene fabrics perform.
Made from oriented high density polyethylene tapes, Fabrene
woven fabrics are pliable yet more tear resistant and puncture-proof
than films and fabrics of equal weight, and they are stronger,
lighter and easier to handle than other materials used in similar
applications. Also, they are easy to cut, staple, sew and heat
seal, hold grommets well, and do not fibrillate and thus prevent
contamination of packaged materials.
For packaging applications requiring very high temperature
resistance or stiffness, Fabrene also offers woven polypropylene
fabrics.
Weathering
All Fabrene
fabrics contain ultraviolet stabilizers to resist weathering.
Extra stabilizer can be added if needed. For prolonged
outdoor exposure, black tape fabric is recommended because it is
resistant to ultra-violet degradation.
Widest Coating
Fabrene offers 1.0 to 2.0 mil transparent or color coatings on
one or both sides in widths up to 156 inches (3.96 m). Special
finishing needs can also be met: print treating for excellent ink
adhesion; emboss texturing; mirror pocketing; lace coating for
ravel-free breathability; nonwoven substrate custom coating; and
Flame Retardant grades to meet CPAI 84-6 and 7, ASTM E-84, NFPA
701-L, and Mine Safety and Health Standards.
